Solar Day for RES Serbia Members – Marking Five Years of MT-KOMEX Membership & Commissioning of DeLasol 2 Solar Power Plant

MT-KOMEX has commissioned the DeLasol 2 solar power plant in Lapovo, marking the company’s five-year membership in RES Serbia.

With more than 200 solar plants built, a total installed capacity of 250 MW, and continuous investment in new technologies, MT-KOMEX is today recognized as one of the most significant players in Serbia’s solar sector.

DeLasol 2 represents the second phase of the DeLasol project, whose first stage was launched in 2023 as the largest solar power plant in Serbia, with a capacity of 9.9 MW. In 2024, DeLasol generated 16,300 MWh of electricity, while the expected output of the second phase is 18,000 MWh, delivering more energy from nearly the same land area.

Located in the municipality of Lapovo, the plant covers 12.5 hectares and is estimated to reduce CO2 emissions by almost 29,225 tons annually.

During the plaque presentation, RES Serbia Manager Danijela Isailović recalled that MT-KOMEX was the first solar company to join the Association:

– After a spontaneous invitation from Nevena Đukić, whom I knew from various panel discussions, came a meeting with Miloš Kostić – just the beginning of years of cooperation, partnership, and both professional and personal gatherings. Thank you for the first five years – said Isailović.

MT-KOMEX Director Miloš Kostić expressed gratitude for the plaque and emphasized the importance of membership in RES Serbia, as well as the value of joint efforts in advancing the energy transition of Serbia and the region.

Following the ceremony and presentations, members toured the solar plants by quad bikes, with on-site demonstrations of technology and operations, and later continued the gathering at the Stari Hrast winery.
