Educational Workshops at Čibuk 1 and Čibuk 2 Wind Parks Mark Upcoming World Wind Day

Ahead of World Wind Day, founding member of the Association RES Serbia, Masdar Taaleri Generation (MTG), organized a series of educational visits and workshops at the Čibuk 1 and Čibuk 2 wind parks, dedicated to teaching the youngest generations about the importance of renewable energy sources.

As part of this initiative, the Čibuk 1 and Čibuk 2 wind parks were visited by third- and fourth-grade students from the “Sava Maksimović” Elementary School in Mramorak, as well as sixth-grade students from Belgrade. During the visit, the pupils had a unique opportunity to see up close how wind turbines operate and to learn from MTG experts how wind power is transformed into clean electricity.

Through interactive workshops tailored to their age, the students were introduced to basic concepts in ecology, sustainable development, and the role that wind farms play in protecting the environment and combating climate change.

To bring the world of green energy closer in a creative way, all workshop participants received the book “When I Grow Up – Inspiring Stories of People Working in Clean Energy.” This educational publication was issued by WindEurope, Europe’s leading wind energy association, of which the Association RES Serbia is a member. Through inspiring examples and stories, the book introduces children to different professions in the renewable energy sector, encouraging them to one day become drivers of the green transition themselves.

With this project, Masdar Taaleri Generation (MTG) once again confirms its commitment to the local community and youth education, showing that awareness of the importance of clean energy is built from the earliest age.
