Five years of MT-KOMEX membership in the Serbian Renewable Energy Association are marked as an important milestone and an opportunity to reflect on shared achievements in the development of solar energy. From the very first meeting to today’s leadership in the sector, this partnership has accompanied key steps in Serbia’s and the region’s energy transition.
Over this period, MT-KOMEX has established itself as one of the most significant players in the solar sector. Projects, discussions, and the exchange of experience have been transformed into tangible results, as company director Miloš Kostić emphasizes:
– Membership in the Association has provided us with a valuable platform to collaborate with key actors in the energy transition, to jointly advocate for sustainable solutions and reforms that bring new green megawatts. Over the past five years, MT-KOMEX has undergone intensive internal development and made a strong contribution to the renewable energy sector – to date we have built 250 MW of solar power plants and continue to invest in new technologies. On this path, the support of partners has been of great importance, and the Association has certainly been one of our most reliable allies – said Kostić.
Manager of RES Serbia Danijela Isailović recalls that MT-KOMEX’s membership began with a meeting with director Miloš Kostić – a meeting that was supposed to be brief but turned into hours of discussion and agreement on directions for joint development – At that meeting, which was meant to be short but lasted several hours, we agreed not only on membership but also on the paths in which we could expand and grow – she explains.
She adds that the arrival of a solar leader was exactly what the Association needed at the time, since its founders came mainly from the wind energy sector: – Years of partnership, joint growth, and stable development followed. We are proud that MT-KOMEX has become a leader in Serbia’s solar sector, with ambitions in the wider region, and that together with our Association it demonstrates continuity and a dynamic pace of growth – concludes Isailović.
This anniversary is not only a reminder of the past five years but also confirmation that cooperation and trust are the foundation of sustainable development. MT-KOMEX continues to build a future in which solar energy takes center stage, while partnerships open the way to new technologies and regional ambitions.
