How does the energy transition look from the perspective of those who are shaping it? Nebojša Vučinić, Director of the Development Division at Elektromreža Srbije (EMS), will speak at the RES SERBIA 2025 conference about the strategic directions for transmission system development amid the accelerated integration of renewable energy sources.
Nebojša Vučinić was born in Sisak, Croatia, in 1985, and graduated in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš. Immediately after graduation, he got a job at the Elektromreža Srbije, where he still works today in the position of Director of Development Division.
In the past 17 years spent in the Elektromreža Srbije, Nebojsa Vučinić has held engineering positions, both in the field of short-term planning of transmission system operation and in the field of medium and long-term planning of transmission system development, where he gained extensive analytical experience in modeling, preparation of static and dynamic analyses for the purpose of various system studies, development of appropriate regulations regarding the process of connecting facilities to the transmission system.
In the past period, as a representative of the Elektromreža Srbije, Nebojša Vucinic was constantly engaged in various working bodies of ENTSO-E, and in the period from 2016 to 2020 he was the chairman of the regional development group, which brings together representatives from thirteen countries.
He is a member of the Development Committee of the ENTSOE Association. At the national level, he is currently the chairman of the C1 Economy and Development Committee, CIGRE Serbia and leads the team in charge of drafting the Rules for Connection to the Transmission System.
