CMS Leads the Way in Sustainability: The First Law Office in Belgrade with a Solar Power Plant on the Roof

CMS, an associate member of the Association RES Serbia, has taken a pioneering step towards the energy transition. By installing a solar power plant on the roof of their own building, they became the first law office in the capital city to use solar energy for their own needs.

CMS is the first law firm in Belgrade to install a solar power plant on the roof of its own building. The power plant has been in operation for nine months.

Two months ago, they officially received the status of a prosumer – which represents an important milestone in their transition to a more sustainable use of energy.

Since the solar power plant reached full capacity, it covers about 50% of their total electricity consumption.

Their long-term goal is ambitious but achievable:

– 70% of electricity consumption from solar sources by the end of 2025;

– 100% of electricity consumption from solar in the next three years.

Sustainability is not just a goal – it’s a responsibility, and CMS is committed to integrating it into every segment of their business.

Radivoje Petrikić, Partner and Director at CMS Belgrade (Petrikić & Partners AOD in cooperation with CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz), says: “We are committed to integrating environmentally friendly practices into every aspect of our business. By adopting sustainability in our daily operations, we not only shape a brighter future for our office, but also contribute to a greener planet for future generations.”

The installed power of the solar power plant is 16.2 kW, which provides CMS with a stable foundation for further growth in the direction of energy self-sustainability. This move is not only a technical advance, but also a strategic step towards a greener future, in which sustainability becomes an integral part of the legal profession and business responsibility.
