What are the Potentials of Wind Energy in Serbia and the World?

Dr. Andrija Buljac, regional Wind Specialist, will be the moderator of a panel discussion dedicated to wind energy in the region and the world at the RES SERBIA 2025 conference, which will be held this year on September 17th and 18th in Vrdnik.

Andrija Buljac graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture at the University of Zagreb, where he also received his PhD in the field of aerodynamics, in cooperation with the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in Prague.

He began his career in academia, doing research in the field of wind engineering and industrial aerodynamics. He is the author of a number of scientific papers published in the world’s leading journals, and has undergone professional training at several universities abroad, especially in experimental research in wind tunnels.

Since 2020, he has been employed at the consulting company Fractal d.o.o., where he leads the development of projects in the field of renewable energy sources, especially wind parks. He specializes in complex challenges related to the estimation of wind power generation, optimization of wind turbine layouts and conducting various technical analyses of projects in the early and advanced stages of development.

The main areas of expertise are engineering and consulting services during the development, construction and operational phase of projects in the field of renewable energy sources, primarily projects of wind parks, solar power plants and electricity storage plants.
