Association Renewable Energy Sources of Serbia publishes a promo film from the celebration of the Global Wind Day in Alibunar.
On June 15th, Association RES Serbia celebrated the Global Wind Day at the Alibunar wind farm, in the presence of more than 150 students, Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović, Ambassador of Belgium to Serbia Kathy Bougenhaut, members of the Association, partners and friends.
The celebration of the Day of Wind was attended by representatives of the embassies of Canada, Finland, Spain, delegations of the EBRD, EPS and other members of the Association, as well as representatives of EMS AD, provincial institutions and public companies.
Students from Banatski Karlovac, Alibunar and Vladimirovac enjoyed the outdoor wind energy class, but also had the opportunity to meet and talk with the Minister of Energy.
As a reminder, wind energy accounts for about 16% of electricity production in Europe and prevents the emission of 138 million tons of CO2 per year. According to WindEurope data, in the period 2023-2027 Europe should install 129 GW of new wind farms.
