Marijan Rančić, Business Development Director at New Energy Solutions, will take part in the RES Serbia 2024 conference as the moderator. The conference is being held on September 23rd and 24th at the ethno complex Vrdnička Kula in Vrdnik.
Each year, the panel that he moderates attracts great attention from the audience, and this year we will find out whether the participants of last year’s panel on the electricity market were right when they assessed that the Serbian electricity market is ready for the investment boom that will come after the auctions.
Marijan Rančić is an energy expert with 15+ years’ experience in the sector of Power Engineering, Renewable Energy Development and Finance. As a seasoned development professional, he has a proven track record of delivering exemplary services to various clients across multiple regions. The clients included governments, ministries departments, state owned companies and private sector. He managed complex engagements, a challenged due diligence services, and helped business development in demanding markets. He has successfully worked on dozens of developments, advisory, lending and public private partnership projects in 18 countries, covering renewable energy, green energy finance, electricity generation and power markets.
He is currently holding position as Business Development Director at New Energy Solutions. Prior to joining NES, he worked as Energy Specialist in IFC for four years covering market of Europe and Central Asia, six years as project manager in Belgium company Elicio Wind NV and eight years as business development manager for South-East Europe in BWC Group, mainly focused on power, engineering plastics and wastewater treatment industry. As one of the Serbian wind energy association pioneer, he was involved in the development of renewable energy policies and supported the sector in establishing legislative and market framework for renewable energy in Serbia.
He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and holds an MSc. in Quantitative Financing and Power System Engineering. As a Chartered Engineer in Serbia, he holds licenses for design, engineering and construction of transmission and distributive networks and grid interconnections.
