The Ambassador of Belgium in Serbia, Her Excellency Ms. Cathy Buggenhout, visited today the Alibunar and The Ambassador of Belgium in Serbia, Her Excellency Mrs. Cathy Buggenhout, visited today the Alibunar and Malibunar wind farms of the Belgian company Elicio, one of the founding members of the Association RES Serbia. The Ambassador saw on the spot how the largest Belgian energy investment in Serbia works on the day when wind energy production was at its maximum.
In the presentation, representatives of the company Elicio presented the history of this company, which has been present in Serbia for a decade, as well as the development of the Alibunar and Malibunar projects, worth 90,000,000 euros.
Representatives of Elicio praised the cooperation with the operator of the electricity transmission and distribution system, bearing in mind that the Alibunar wind farm is connected to the network managed by EMS a.d. while Malibunar is connected to the electricity distribution system.
The ambassador expressed her admiration for the success of the Belgian company in Serbia and wished success in the new projects started by Elicio in Pančevo and other Vojvodina municipalities.
The management of the company Elicio presented the current status of the development of the project in Pančevo and the challenges the company is facing.
The visit to the wind farms was supported by the Association Renewable Energy Sources of Serbia, which fosters exceptional cooperation with the Embassy of Belgium in Serbia.
