Senior Energy Modelling Consultant at Mott MacDonald, Dr Nenad Jovanović, will take part in the RES Serbia 2023 conference as the moderator of the panel on the Solar energy in Serbia.
Nenad Jovanović is an energy expert with over 10 years of experience in development and analysis of the optimal electricity generation mix with integration of renewable energy sources. He is involved in international projects related to generation expansion planning and development of carbon neutral scenarios. His role includes active participation in projects financed by international organizations and companies in the fields of energy planning, policy and decarbonisation strategies. Prior to joining Mot MacDonald in Belgrade, he was developing the first National Energy and Climate Plan of the Republic of Serbia.
He holds a joint doctoral degree from the Erasmus Mundus program “Sustainable Energy Technologies and Strategies” which includes a consortium of universities from Spain, The Netherlands and Sweden. He started his international experience working as a researcher at the Institute for Investigation in Technology from Madrid, focused on development of electricity market models, considering technical, economic and regulatory aspects. Before going abroad, he earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering from the University of Niš.
