Chairman of the Management Board of the Association Renewable Energy Sources of Serbia, Miloš Colić, spoke last night at the ceremonial opening of the 36th CIGRE Council organized by the Serbian National Committee. Colić said that CIGRE is a model for us as an Association, both in terms of expertise, as well as in terms of duration and tradition, because the energy transition that we are advocating for is a long, multi-decade process.
Miloš Colić indicated that he sees the invitation to be a speaker at the opening ceremony as recognition of the importance of renewable energy sources for the power system. Apart from Colić, the general director of Elektromreža Srbije a.d. spoke at the opening (Joint Stock Company Elektromreža Srbije) Jelena Matejić, Assistant Minister of Energy Milan Aleksić, Vice President at ELNOS Group Branko Torbica, President of the National Committee of CIGRE Serbia Nebojša Petrović, as well as other important officials. Panel discussions and presentations of professional papers begin today.
