RES SERBIA 2025: Connecting the Minds Behind the Energy Transition

This September, in the heart of Serbia’s Fruška Gora, RES SERBIA 2025 will bring together the region’s most influential voices in renewable energy. Held on 17th & 18th September in Vrdnik, this fifth edition marks a significant milestone — five years of building dialogue, trust, and momentum around the energy transition in the region.

What started as a focused gathering of professionals has grown into the leading regional forum for green energy, attracting government officials, investors, utility leaders, international institutions, and technology providers from across Europe and beyond. The strength of the event lies not just in the quality of its discussions, but in its ability to foster genuine conversations that bridge policy, finance, and technology.

RES SERBIA 2025 will tackle the most pressing questions facing the sector today: what is new in the region when it comes to renewables, how to integrate large-scale renewable projects into the system, how to accelerate investments, and how to ensure that the next stage of the energy transition is not only green, but smart, just, and future-proof.

Solar and Battery Storage in Focus

This year’s agenda will place particular emphasis on solar energy and battery storage technologies essential for a stable and sustainable energy future. Serbia has seen a sharp rise in solar development:

*More than 172 MW from solar energy is already in operation, with several large-scale commercial projects on the horizon such as 1 GW solar project

*Number of prosumers is steadily increasing, with a total installed capacity approaching 100 MW

*Battery storage is emerging as a key solution for system balancing, with multiple pilot initiatives underway

Confirmed speakers include high-level representatives from the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Republic of Serbia, Elektroprivreda Srbije – biggest company in Serbia, Elektromreža Srbije, European Investment Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, SEEPEX, Masdar, Siemens, Nordex Energy, New Energy Solutions, CGES, and others. Their insights will offer valuable regional and international perspectives for greener future.

The experience goes beyond the duscussions. Participants will also have the opportunity to test-drive the latest BMW electric and hybrid models, powered by green energy during the event. As always, the first evening will feature the RES SERBIA PARTY, providing a relaxed space for informal networking and exchange of ideas.
