CEO of SolarPower Europe Walburga Hemetsberger stated at last year’s RES SERBIA 2023 conference that the world is at the beginning of the end of the fossil fuel era. This year, news from the European solar industry will be presented in Vrdnik by the Senior Policy Advisor at SolarPower Europe, Jonathan Bonadio.
Solar Power Europe, the leading European association for solar energy, is an institutional partner of the RES SERBIA 2024 conference, which will be held in Vrdnik on September 23rd and 24th.
Jonathan Bonadio coordinates SolarPower Europe’s policy work on the renewable energy directive, permitting and the governance. He also has an overview on environmental integration of renewables and local authorities.
Prior to joining SolarPower Europe, Jonathan worked and the European Environmental Bureau on energy scenarios. Jonathan has also an experience as a seconded national expert with the European Commission.
Jonathan holds two master’s degrees both in environmental Engineering and in Business Management from the University of Strasbourg in France. Besides his native French, Jonathan speaks English and German.
Association Renewable Energy Sources of Serbia joined the membership of the European association SolarPower Europe in May 2023.
