Mladen Šicel, Head of the Contracting Department at KOER d.o.o., with over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, will be one of the panelists at RES SERBIA 2024 conference. As an expert in the field of aggregation and management of energy systems, Mladen will talk about on extremely important topics related to the opening of the market for ancillary services, balancing the power system, managing flexible consumption and electricity production, with a view to battery systems, as well as implementation of Demand Response program.
With rich experience in development and implementation of Virtual Power Plant, Mladen will share his knowledge about key challenges and opportunities in the sector from the perspective of an aggregator. His experience in the implementation of standby and activation functionalities, as well as in the development of mFRR tertiary balancing projects of the power system, puts him in a unique position to discuss ways in which the industry can optimize consumption and contribute to the stability of the power system.
During the conference, he will focus on the opening of the ancillary services market and implementation of the Demand Response program, that will allow industrial consumers greater flexibility and participation in grid balancing. It is through more efficient management of flexible assets that it is possible to achieve significant savings and improve the reliability of the system.
Mladen’s presentation will be invaluable to everyone involved in the energy sector, providing valuable insights into how technological innovation and regulatory change can be harnessed to achieve a more sustainable and efficient energy system.
