Executive Director of the Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System, Ivan Asanović, arrives at the RES Serbia 2024 conference, where je will speak about the challenges of connecting and integrating renewable energy sources in Montenegro.
As an electrical engineer, with significant experience in the field of energy, he heads Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System AD, a company with great potential, which is recognized as a leader in its field, not only in Montenegro, but also beyond. He took advantage of numerous opportunities presented to him on the way to the progress of this energy company, not only in terms of investment momentum, but also when it comes to corporate values, and he recently received the award for the best manager of the year.

Ivan Asanović was born in 1982 in Podgorica. He graduated from the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the University of Montenegro in Podgorica, where he earned the title of Bachelor of Electrical Engineering – Department of Energy and Automation.
Since 2010, he has been participating in the implementation of the international investment project of the submarine interconnection between Montenegro and Italy. From 2011 to 2019, he held the position of Head of the Service for Secondary and Information Systems, and from September 2021 he is the Executive Director of CGES.
Ivan gained respectable experience by being a member of international working groups as a representative of CGES.
He is a member of the Engineering Chamber of Montenegro, the national and Paris committees of CIGRE. He is the author of several professional works.
Ivan Asanović is the recipient of several awards and certificates of appreciation for his contribution to the profession, as well as for his activities in the field of philanthropy.
