EPS General Director to talk about investments in RES projects at RES SERBIA 2024 conference

Dušan Živković, CEO of Electric Power Industry of Serbia, is participating in the RES Serbia 2024 conference, which will bring together the highest representatives of state institutions, business, investors and relevant experts from the region and Europe on 23rd and 24th September in Vrdnik.

It will be a great opportunity to find out about EPS’s plans in the field of green energy. As Živković revealed to us a little less than half a year ago, in an interview that attracted a lot of public attention, EPS intends to invest 5.4 billion euros by 2030 in RES projects.

Dušan Živković is an electrical engineer with decades of work experience, both in managerial positions, as well as in investments, financing, engineering, design of power systems, control systems and their implementation at various facilities in the Electric Power Industry of Serbia.

He began his professional career in “Jugel Engineering” on the construction of the National Dispatch Center. For two decades, he worked and managed investments, renewable energy sources and development of production capacities within EPS, and then managed the sector for RES in the distribution network. He has actively participated in the preparation of long-term investment and development plans, as well as in numerous projects of revitalization of equipment in open-pit mines, thermal power plants, hydroelectric power plants, transmission and distribution networks, environmental protection projects, RES development and energy efficiency.

He has also dedicated part of his career to the introduction of smart metering at the distribution level, creating conditions for a significant participation of RES, but also the introduction of some new technologies in the Serbian energy sector.

During his career, he has made significant contacts with numerous international companies in the energy sector, achieving successful cooperation and exchange of experience necessary for continuous improvement and development, as well as restructuring processes of Serbian energy companies. Unequivocally supporting the Serbian economy, through the projects he has created, conditions for their development, but also support them to compete as successfully as possible in markets around the world.

With excellent knowledge of modern information technologies, in addition to English, he speaks Russian and French, and has successfully completed several different trainings in the field of management and finance, human resource management and project management.

He is married, father of two children.
