Acting general director of EPS AD Dušan Živković, together with the Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović, opens the RES Serbia 2023 conference, which will gather the most important participants in the green energy industry in the region on September 14th in Vrdnik.
He has more than 30 years of professional experience in investments, financing, engineering, energy system designing, control system designing and their implementation in various facilities within the Elektroprivreda Srbije.
He started his professional career in Serbian energy sector in Jugel Inženjering on the tasks related to the construction of the National Control Centre where he took an active role in its construction as a member of the team that implemented the project based on the funding provided by the Swiss Government. After that, he performed significant functions in EPS and managed investments and development, some time later. He actively participated in preparing long-term investment and development plans, and within the scope of these activities, he worked on numerous projects for rehabilitation of equipment in open cast mines, thermal power plants, hydro power plants, transmission and distribution network, environmental protection projects, RES development, energy efficiency, but also in creating conditions for providing necessary funds for financing projects in cooperation with international financial institutions.
Throughout his career, he made significant contacts with numerous international companies within the energy sector, thus achieving successful cooperation and exchange of experience necessary for continuous improvement and development, and also for the processes of restructuring the Serbian energy companies. By providing an unequivocal support to the Serbian economy, through the completed projects, he created conditions for their development, and also for providing them a support to compete at worldwide markets as successful as possible.
In recent years, he has dealt with introducing smart metering at the distribution level, thus creating conditions for more considerable participation of RES, and for introducing some new technologies into the Serbian energy system.
He participated in numerous conferences in the country and abroad, represented the Serbian energy and its development potentials and promoted his experience gained during implementation of projects.
With excellent knowledge of modern information technologies, in addition to English, he speaks Russian and French, and he completed several different trainings in the field of management and finance, human resources management and project management.
He was born in Belgrade in 1964. He graduated at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, with the highest grade, and was awarded a title of graduate electrical engineer. He is married, father of two.
