One of the leaders in financing RES projects, Erste Bank a.d. Novi Sad, is a silver sponsor of RES SERBIA 2024 conference which will be held on September 23rd and 24th in Vrdnik.

Thanks to its strong market position in the segment of large corporate clients, Erste Bank, in accordance with its Responsible Financing Policy and Financing Renewable Energy Source Policy, has been committed to financing various energy efficiency and renewable energy sources projects for years. So far, more than 70 projects in this field have been financed, such as “Kovačica”, “Krivača”, “Košava”, “Kula” and “Pupin” wind farms, solar power plants and biogas plants. Independently or in cooperation with other financial institutions, the Bank participated in financing over 530 MW of green energy with over 100 million euros, which currently represents more than 80% of the total RES capacities in Serbia, and over 16% of the Bank’s approved corporate loans are in the “green” category. A responsible approach to financing is intrinsically woven into the Bank’s operations and strategic commitment, with the aim of its actively contributing to the sustainable future of clients, employees and the overall well-being of the community.

Towards the end of last year, Erste Bank signed an agreement with KfW Development Bank on a credit line in the total amount of 30 million euros to support green initiatives and the development of the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and agricultural farms in rural areas of Serbia. A tranche of 10 million euros is directed to financing investments in improving the efficient use of natural resources, recycling, and/or reducing emissions and environmental pollution.
