Energy advisor at LDK Consultants Nenad Jovanović will take part in the RES Serbia 2022 conference which will be held on September 15th, 2022 at the Metropol Hotel in Belgrade. He will be the moderator of the panel on the impact of the security and economic crisis on the development of RES projects.
Nenad Jovanović is an energy expert with 10 years of experience in development and analysis of the optimal electricity generation mix with integration of renewable energy sources. Since 2018, he works as an energy consultant at LDK Consultants office in Serbia. He deals with planning of a low-carbon energy system with a special focus on the optimal increase of social well-being, environmental benefits and a just energy transition. His role includes active participates in projects financed by international organizations and donors in the fields of energy planning, policy and development strategy of decarbonization. Together with international experts, he is developing the first National Energy and Climate Plan in the Republic of Serbia.
He received his doctoral degree from the Erasmus Mundus program “Sustainable Energy Technologies and Strategies” led by the Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid, in collaboration with universities of renowned prestige in the field of energy and sustainability: Delft University of Technology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Johns Hopkins University, University of Paris-Sud and Florentine School of Regulation. He started his international experience working as a researcher at the Institute for Investigation in Technology from Madrid, focused on development of electricity market models, taking into account technical, economic and regulatory aspects. Before going abroad, he earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering from the University of Nis.
