Three Decrees for the second round of auctions were adopted – Maximum auction price for wind 79 EUR per MWh, for solar 72 EUR per MWh

The maximum auction price for wind farms in other auctions for market premiums, which is expected to be announced soon, is 79 EUR per MWh, while for solar power plants, it is 72 EUR per MWh, it was determined in the decision adopted at today’s session of the Government. This is significantly lower than the maximum bid price at last year’s auctions of 105 EUR per MWh for wind and 90 EUR for solar.

At today’s session of the Government, proposals for bylaws of the Ministry of Mining and Energy were adopted, including three Decrees: Decree on the market premium and feed-in tariff, Decree on the quota in the system of market premium for wind farms, and Decree on the quota in the system of market premium for solar power plants.

The Decree on the Quota in the Market Premium System for Wind Farms proposes a quota of 300 MW, while the Decree on the Quota for Solar Power Plants proposes a quota of 124.8 MW.

These regulations regulate upcoming auctions and create the possibility of announcing them.

As confirmed by the advisor at the Ministry of Mining and Energy, Rade Mrdak, at the RES SERBIA 2024 conference, the announcement of other auctions for market premiums is expected in November.

At last year’s auctions, the lowest accepted price was 64.48 EUR per MWh for wind farms, and the highest was achieved for solar power plants which amounted to 89.8 EUR per MWh.
