Svetlana Cerović will Speak at RES SERBIA 2026

Svetlana Cerović, Head of Financing, Specialised Lending at UniCredit Bank, will be a speaker at the RES SERBIA 2026 conference. As a pioneer in renewable energy project financing and a key contributor to major infrastructure initiatives through public‑private partnerships, Cerović will share insights on portfolio development in the green transition and highlight the role of the banking sector in positioning Serbia as a leader in sustainable energy.

Svetlana Cerović has been Head of Financing, Specialised Lending since 2012, overseeing activities in structured and project financing. She is recognized as one of the pioneers in renewable energy project financing, as well as a member of project teams engaged in financing and advisory for some of the largest infrastructure projects in the Republic of Serbia within the framework of public‑private partnerships.

A particular achievement is her contribution to the development of the renewable energy portfolio, where she played a key role in positioning UniCredit Bank as a market leader. Through lectures at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade, the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Singidunum University, and the Banking Academy, on the topic of project financing in renewable energy and the role of UniCredit Bank, she actively promotes awareness of the importance of the green transition and the Bank’s role in this field.

She earned her Master of Business Administration degree at Warwick Business School in 2016, at the prestigious University of Warwick in the United Kingdom, with a dissertation on the topic of financing infrastructure projects in the Republic of Serbia through public‑private partnerships.

Her professional career began at Deloitte in 1995, where she worked in auditing and advisory and participated in the first implementation of SAP in Serbia. In 2000, she joined the National Bank of Serbia as Special Advisor in the Governor’s Cabinet. She began her career in commercial banking in 2001 at UniCredit Bank, in the Risk Management Division, where she also served as Director of the Credit Risk Management Department.
