A pioneer and one of the leaders in financing renewable energy projects, Erste Bank a.d. Novi Sad is this year’s Bronze Sponsor of the RES SERBIA 2026 conference.

Since participating in the financing of Serbia’s first wind farm in 2015, Erste Bank has built a strong position in the market in the segment of large corporate clients and, in line with its strategy and policies, has been dedicated for a full decade to financing various energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. To date, more than 80 projects have been financed in these areas, including wind farms Kovačica, Krivača, Košava, Kula, Pupin, and Čibuk 2, as well as solar power plants and biogas facilities. Independently or in cooperation with other financial institutions, the Bank has participated with over 400 million EUR in financing 800 MW of green energy, which currently represents more than two-thirds of all newly built RES capacities in Serbia. A responsible approach to financing is fundamentally embedded in the Bank’s operations and strategic orientation, with the aim of actively contributing to the sustainable future of its clients, employees, and the overall well-being of the community.

Thanks to the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union, Erste Bank Serbia has secured a credit line of 15 million EUR within the SME Go Green program. These funds are intended for small and medium-sized enterprises in Serbia that wish to improve their business by investing in energy- and resource-efficient green technologies, thereby fostering their sustainability and competitiveness in line with the EU Green Agenda. Special focus is placed on supporting investments in the agriculture and agro-industry sectors, as well as on women-led enterprises, in order to promote equal access to climate financing and strengthen their role in implementing sustainable practices and green technologies.
