Petar Šainović, Managing Director of Siemens Energy Serbia will be speaking at the RES SERBIA 2026 conference. With nearly two decades of leadership and managerial experience in companies in energy, innovation, and industry, Šainović has focused on the development of strategic business plans and coordination of sales channels, as well as business development in Power Generation, Oil & Gas and Renewables sectors.
Petar Šainović is the Managing Director of Siemens Energy Serbia, regional leader in energy technology. From 2022 to 2026, he also successfully held the position of Managing Director of Siemens Energy Bulgaria, leading the company’s operations and growth in the market. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade, specializing in International Economics and Foreign Trade.
Petar gained his broad leadership and managerial experience during almost two decades of working for leading companies in technology, innovation, energy and industry. He started his career in Ernst & Young, to join Siemens in 2008.
During his career path, he focused on the development of strategic business plans and coordination of sales channels, as well as business development in Mining, Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Renewables sectors. His main focus was on complex projects – from initial project idea development to after sales support.
Since the establishment of Siemens Energy Serbia 6 years ago, Petar has been at the helm of the company whose mission is to energize society by making sustainable, reliable, and affordable energy a reality. Under his leadership, the organization has quadrupled in size and become a regional leader in power generation and transmission solutions, as well as decarbonisation projects in the process industry, with the growing share of energy produced from renewable sources. Moreover, Siemens Energy Serbia is now actively involved in projects with the aim of electrification of process industries across Western Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
In addition to his responsibilities at Siemens Energy Serbia, Petar currently serves as the Managing Director of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in Serbia.
Petar is passionate about environmental protection and believes it must be a priority for all of us as the greatest challenge our generation faces.
